Your Support Strengthens Our Players

The Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club (SWSC) is a nonprofit organization - 501(c)(3) - led by parent volunteers. SWSC counts on your assistance to keep the organization running smoothly and build the development of our players. *SWSC soccer families are required to volunteer hours at our fundraising tournament - The May Day Classic.*

You're invited to join one of the following organizational committees at any time:

  • Board of Directors
  • Team Manager
  • Assistant Coaching (Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
  • May Day Classic Tournament Committee

Benefits of service include:

  • May Day Classic Tournament bond check exemption for coaches, assistant coaches, board members, and May Day Committee members who will be assisting the tournament.
  • May Day Classic Tournament parking space for Board and May Day Committee members.
  • Generous club fee reduction for assistant coaches and team managers.
  • Connect with community, professional, and soccer networks.
  • Directly impact the success of a local non-profit & young athletes.

How the Volunteer Hours work:

  • The club requires that each family commit to volunteer hours fulfilled at the May Day Classic tournament. This is the club’s primary fundraiser. Believe it or not, the May Day Tournament alone needs to fill several hundred shifts on the weekend of the tournament to run smoothly.

  • Along with the tournament hours, each family is required to provide one $350 bond check to their oldest player’s TEAM MANAGER. A bond check is a regular check (you don’t need to get a special one from the bank) that is held and serves as your guarantee that you’ll complete your MDC service hours. This bond check remains un-cashed and will be returned to you at the end of your tournament volunteer shift.

  • If, at the end of the MDC, the tournament volunteer hours have not been fulfilled, we will deposit the bond check. (The bond check is directly attached to the required tournament volunteer hours, only.)

  • Make your bond check payable to: Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club. Put your child's/children's name in the memo: Abby Wambach-GU18, Clint Dempsey-BU19
  • If your bond check is not received by your TEAM MANAGER BY THE DEADLINE, your child/ren's player passes will be pulled and they will not be able to compete in games or tournaments until a check is received.
